Apple Pay Testing
Apple Pay testing uses Apple's sandbox, so you test on real Apple devices with Apple's test cards.
This section is subject to change. Apple Pay support is under development. Details here can change until the integration is finalized.
Sandbox setup
Interchecks enables Apple Pay on your sandbox payer and registers your test domains. Tell Interchecks every domain you will test from, and contact [email protected] to get set up.
Test devices and accounts
- Test on a physical Apple device. An iPhone 6 or later is required.
- Create an Apple sandbox tester account. See Apple's instructions for creating a sandbox Apple account.
Test cards
Use the test cards on Apple's Apple Pay sandbox testing page.
Amount triggers
The Instant Funding and Instant Deposit amount triggers in Testing apply to Apple Pay. Set the amount in your Apple Pay payment request (total.amount). It reaches Interchecks as the transaction amount. For example, 9.02 returns a decline, 9.06 an in-progress result, and 9.07 an unknown result.
Card validation triggers
A billing ZIP (billingContact.postalCode) ending in 0101 or 0111 triggers the card validation test cases.
Expected results
| Case | Result |
|---|---|
| Approved (AFT or OCT) | 201 with status PAID. |
Amount 9.02 | 200 with ERR_AFT_DECLINE (AFT) or ERR_OCT_DECLINE (OCT). error_message carries the network's action code and reason, for example 12:Invalid transaction. |
Amount 9.06 or 9.07 | 201 with status PROCESSING or UNKNOWN. Treat it as pending, not failed. |
Billing ZIP ending in 0101 or 0111 | The card validation test cases. For an AFT, the result can be 200 with ERR_CARD_PAV_FAILURE and the account_id of the inactive account. Interchecks creates no transaction. |
Card BIN allow list
The sandbox card BIN allow list described in Testing accepts the card numbers Apple generates for Apple Pay. You do not need to ask Interchecks to add Apple's test cards to the list.
